12 oz thinly sliced prime rib or roast beef
4 slices of cheddar cheese
2-oz blue cheese crumbles (optional)
2 oz bleu cheese dressing
Johnny's french dip au jus mix (powder or liquid)
4 slices thick sourdough bread
Softened butter
Following package instructions, make enough au jus to use for dipping the meat in and also reserve some to use as a sandwich dip.
Butter all sides of the sourdough bread slices.
Place buttered bread into a suitable heated pan or griddle on medium setting. When golden brown on one side, flip to opposite sides.
Place cheddar cheese on bread, drizzle some bleu cheese onto the sandwich (add optional bleu cheese crumbles now if desired). Continue to cook until toasted.
Place meat into au jus for a minute, until heated thoroughly, draining well.
Place meat onto sandwich.
Close sandwich and remove from pan.
Cut into three triangular pieces.
Serve with a cup of Johnny's au jus and serve with fresh fruit or fries.
